Sitting at my computer while I wait for Dave to decide what kind of suit he needs for an upcoming wedding. He blogs. I was an active xanga blogger for over 1000 days. Then I quit, cold turkey. That was a few years ago. I'll give this a go. Maybe keep the family and friends updated on events in life, and maybe write something useful or applicable.
I pulled a question from my QT today out of Matthew 3 when John is talking to the Pharisees, and goes on to explain Jesus is about to show up. V. 11. "As for me, I baptize you with water for repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, and I am not fit to remove his sandals."
I get the unworthy part, but why is John talking about shoes, and why would he need to remove sandals anyways?
Then I remembered over in John 13, Jesus washes the disciples feet. What a great image. There is a coming King, and I can't even unlatch his sandals, but He is going to wash the disciples feet. Side by side, the sovereignty and humility of Jesus.
